WorldSkills Russia at Photonics 2021 exhibition
The 15th International Exhibition for Optical, Laser and Optoelectronic Technologies, Photonics. The World of Lasers and Optics 2021, will take place at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds on March 30 – April 2. Its event programme will include a public training of WorldSkills Russia participants in the Laser Technologies competence of the Future Skills bloc.
Young professionals will demonstrate the fulfillment of modules, which usually serve as assignments at WorldSkills championships of vocational skills: manufacturing of the device body and front panel, industrial products, laser cutting of part layouts with the layer-by-layer assembly, eco-rubber stamps, manufacturing of special surfaces using a laser, and laser welding automation.
Movement participants and experts will present the LaserSkills programme for training young professionals, which boosts functional awareness of students and schoolchildren and the ability to apply knowledge in practice using a combination of WorldSkills Russia competences.
The exhibition will see the signing of cooperation agreements between the Agency for Vocational Skills Development (WorldSkills Russia) and EXPOCENTRE AO, and between Vostrukhin Communication College No. 54 and Panov College of Modern Technologies.
Future Skills is a priority initiative of WorldSkills Russia aimed to train young professionals in occupations in demand on the labor market. The training area stems from global changes in production and technologies.
