At Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics 2015 NTK Azimuth Photonics will present lasers and LED modules made by Omicron-Laserage (Germany), which was started in 1989 to develop and manufacture semiconductor diode lasers and LED sources in spectral range from 375 to 1 550 nm for the industry and research sectors. Since then the company has developed and perfected a range of semiconductor diode lasers, DPSS lasers, and high-power LED sources.
Omicron-Laserage is a leader on the market of single-mode semiconductor lasers and high-power LED sources with fibre-coupling. Besides, Omicron-Laserage has a flexible production capability with development and manufacture of custom light sources for microscopy, flow cytometry, advanced printing, reprography, CD and DVD recording, microlithography, etc.
The company also offers laser combiners which combine up to six wavelengths in one compact and durable body. The modules are available in many wavelengths from 375 nm to 1 064 nm. It allows choosing an operating mode for each light source like an uninterrupted mode, a mode of analogue or digital modulation, or a mode of high coefficient of contrast modulation. Each laser block can be coupled with optic fiber, which is keeping the same radiation polarization, for convenient light emission in e.g. confocal microscopy or flow cytometry.
Thanks to multifunctional controllers with RS-232 interface, laser modules of Omicron-Laserage can be easily customized. The interface with a command line gives its user a complete control over all parameters of the laser module such as temperature, optical output power, running current, operating mode, and many others. The laser module package includes a laser head and controller protected by an electromagnetic screen and a power supply unit.
