It will be possible to assemble a laser at the PhotonTechSystems stand

Russian manufacturer of photonics training equipment PhotonTechSystems from Saransk will present at its stand No.FD080 a wide range of laboratory stands on lasers, fibre optics, and lighting engineering in an interactive format. Visitors will have an opportunity to assemble a laser, rangefinder and fibre-optic line by themselves. The company invites teachers and students to conduct workshops together with PhotonTechSystems employees at the Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics 2024 exhibition. PhotonTechSystems offers its customers a wide range of opportunities to make products to individual dimensions.

The following exhibits will be presented at the stand of PhotonTechSystems:

From 26 to 29 March 2024 we kindly invite you to visit the company’s stand No.FG032 (Moscow, EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds, Forum Pavilion) and discuss your tasks with the technical specialists of PhotonTechSystems.

Vladikavkaz Technology Center BASPIK to present microchannel electron multipliers, advanced detectors and other equipment at the stand

Vladikavkaz Technology Center BASPIK, a regular exhibitor, will present at its stand No.FG020 an updated range of its products including

- Microchannel Electron Multipliers are typical microchannel plates with unique characteristics that represent an advanced combination of geometric, structural and electrical parameters;

- Advanced Detectors for Time-of-Flight TOF detectors. The TOF detector with an integrated voltage divider mounted on a printed circuit board is designed for recording charged particle fluxes as part of a mass spectrometer.

The board used to assemble the MCP detector contains the detector voltage divider, power supply circuit components, and a coaxial connector for signal acquisition. Assembly of the detector with the board allows reducing the influence of spurious inductances and capacitances; as a result, the output pulse of the MCP detector acquires a classical waveform without “damped” oscillations and has a short width (less than one ns). The compact design, with two inputs for voltage supply and a coaxial connector for signal acquisition, is more adaptable to the application and allows easy installation and replacement of the detector when needed.

- Secondary Electron Multipliers with Extended Dynamic Range. SEM-6 channel multiplier is intended for operation in pulse counting mode, however most advanced channel SEMs shall operate as a part of mass spectrometers and in analogue mode which requires a larger output current to extend the linearity range.

The output current in channel-type SEMs maintains linearity up to a value equal to about 10% of the strip current value. This constraint is due to the fact that the strip current supplies the electrons required to compensate for the positive charge generated after the electron avalanches leave the output of the channeltron, providing the secondary emission process. In turn, the strip current is determined by the channel resistance and increases with decreasing resistance.

The task of extending the dynamic range has been solved by developing the technology of thermal hydrogen reduction of channeltron glass to a lower resistance level and optimizing the channel length-to-diameter ratio.
