Beyond 20Gbit/s Telecom and Datacom with Connector Optics

09 / 04 / 2010

On April 21st at 11.00 Connector Optics LLC will give a talk on prospects of use of ultra-high speed vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) in modern short-reach optical networks (up to 300 m). The talk will be given in the frame of Scientific Conference at “Photonica. Lasers, Optics and Application 2010”, Section “Optical Communications: the Current State and Prospects”.

Innovative 850/980 nm-range VCSELs and photodetectors being offered at the moment by Connector Optics are demonstrating error free data transmission/detection at rates >28Gbit/s.  They provide cost effective solution for high speed local- and storage-area networks (LAN/SAN), active optical cable links for short-reach computer and consumer applications (HDMI) and other optical interconnects.

The applicability of these products is caused by the continuous growth of overall data traffic combined with the rapid substitution of copper links by optical interconnects.

Connector Optics welcomes partners for distribution of its products and cooperation in R&D projects.

We invite you to visit our booth 72D40 in Hall 2 of Pavilion No. 7!
