Participant Feedback

“The photonics industry is one of the highly efficient innovation-driven drivers of the global economy. The rate and scale of development of laser and optical technology are decisive factors in competitiveness of processing industries. Optoelectronics has become a basis for communication and information systems. The photonics technology opens up new possibilities in medicine, agriculture and other industry sectors. Over 12 years, Photonics has become a leading event of the industry. Its participants testify to great achievements and creative potential of Russian researchers.”

Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation

“The cooperation agreement between the Russian and Chinese laser associations was signed in 2006. Our cooperation develops quite successfully: we regularly exchange delegations and annually carry out joint projects.”

Ivan Kovsh, President of Laser Association, Russia

“We should find new application of laser technologies and promote them by joint efforts. The ultimate objective of our cooperation within the BRICS is creation of comprehensive laser industry covering the whole production cycle, maintenance and application of laser technologies. This work could be started with cooperation between Russia, China and India aimed at development of the Indian market and laser technology in that country.”

prof. Xiao Zhu, President of the Hubei Province Laser Association, China
