Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted an opening ceremony of The Innovative Russia Week
April, 17th Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted an opening ceremony of The Innovative Russia Week – a unique project for Russia, which gathered nine innovation-driven exhibition and congress events at one exhibition venue of Expocentre Fairgrounds to join their forces for the development of knowledge-intensive industries and technologies that are important for this country's economy.
The Innovative Russia Week will present a lot of novelties. Here the participating companies will put on display their innovative developments and high technology products.
The project has found a broad response among the leaders of the state, sectoral ministries and agencies, the scientific and business community. Valentina Matviyenko, the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, and Vladislav Surkov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, greeted the organizers and participants of The Innovative Russia Week at the official opening ceremony.
The ceremony was also attended by Russian and foreign notables.
Vladimil Kononov, the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and High Technologies of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, addressed the participants and guests. He noted that having dealt with the innovation business in the past, and being engaged in the issues of implementation of innovative technologies at present, he knew the complexity of this project. The government set the task to develop the innovation economy of Russia. This is not a declaration, but the impelling need of modern time: Russia must be developed by means of innovation economy.
The Innovative Russia Week is a significant event of Russian and international level. According to Pavel Dorokhin, the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Industrial Policy of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, The Innovative Russia Week incorporates more than 1000 participants, and this fact speaks for itself. The Committee in association with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Expocentre, and all the participants of the innovation process elaborates legislative directions of industrial policy, to ensure the highest level of development of the Russian economy, suiting the statements of the President of the Russian Federation. Pavel Dorokhin noted the substantial contribution of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation to the implementation of the innovative industrial policy and expressed confidence that the holding of The Innovative Russia Week will actively promote the innovative technologies.
The Innovative Russia Week includes the Forum New Electronics’2012. It is natural, since it is impossible to imagine the innovations without the micro- and radioelectronics, stressed Aleksandr Yakunin, the Director of the Radioelectronic Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The Innovative Russia Week will represent the developments and serial production of the Russian electronics manufacturers, and will hold discussions concerning new technologies, achievements and prospects of the development of our industry.
“We are witnessing the birth of a unique project”, said Sergey Katyrin, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. “We have joined the efforts of the state, of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, ministries and agencies, sphere of business, science, as well as various funds”. Sergey Katyrin noted the contribution of Expocentre which had applied the major efforts to unite at one exhibition venue nine exhibitions and congresses, dozens of events, where the promising projects and problems of implementation of innovations will be discussed. The CCI President emphasized that The Innovative Russia Week is an important event and for the system of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and its branches. It will become a kind of operating statement in the sphere of innovations.
The opening ceremony of The Innovative Russia Week was attended by Sergey Bednov, the General Director of Expocentre. He stressed that exhibition and congress activities devoted to innovations have always been and remain a priority area of Expocentre’s activity, which has really became the territory of innovations.
